Oil for Outdoor Wooden Floors Rustic Oak - Autoclave Wood Impregnator
Oak Exterior Wooden Floor Oil is a highly specialized product designed for the treatment and maintenance of wood in an autoclave, recognized for its characteristic green hue. This oil is ideal for impregnating woods that are often difficult to treat with other impregnating agents, offering total protection against damage caused by UV rays, humidity and cracking.
Suitable for all wood species, the oil can be used on exterior wood floors, including pressure-impregnated, heat-treated and even exotic woods. It is perfect for both new wood and wood previously treated with oil. Supplied ready to use, the product requires the application surface to be clean, solid and dry, with a maximum humidity level of 16%. It is important not to apply the oil if rain is forecast in the next 24 hours.
Before application, it is essential to carefully read the label and instructions. Untreated surfaces must be freed from dirt, dust and loosened materials, while those already oiled require the removal of any residues with a scraper. The oil must be mixed well before and during application and distributed evenly with a brush or sponge following the grain of the wood.
Ideal conditions include a dry surface and a temperature above +5°C with relative humidity below 80%. After the initial application, it is advisable to handle the treated surface with care for about a week to ensure maximum hardness and durability. Two days after application, delicate cleaning with a soft brush or floor cleaner is recommended.
The yield varies between 5-7 m²/l on old or worn surfaces and up to 15 m²/l on new or good condition surfaces. Drying times include approximately 4 hours to be dry to the touch and 16 hours for the possibility of repainting; complete drying occurs in approximately seven days at standard temperatures of 23°C. Non-flammable and opaque to the touch, the product also guarantees environmental safety: however, due to the risk of spontaneous combustion of the cloths used, these must be stored in closed metal containers filled with water.
Storing the oil frost-free in sealed containers away from direct sunlight ensures a long shelf life of the opened product during the same period. With its light odor that disappears after complete drying, this oil represents an excellent solution for keeping the natural beauty of outdoor wooden floors intact.
