Light Oak Impregnator for External Wood: Light Oak Protective Oil for External Wooden Floors. Protect and enhance your outdoor wooden floors with the long-lasting oil that combines nature and technology.
Light Oak Exterior Wood Floor Oil is a product specially designed for the treatment and protection of exterior woods, in particular those treated in an autoclave, which often have a characteristic green hue. This oil offers an ideal solution for impregnating such surfaces, ensuring not only a high-quality aesthetic finish, but also long-lasting protection against atmospheric agents.
One of the main characteristics of this oil is its ability to offer total protection against UV rays, humidity and cracks. It is suitable for all wood species, including pressure-treated, heat-treated and exotic woods. It can be used both on new wood and previously treated with oil.
The product is supplied ready to use and requires the substrate to be clean, firm and dry before application. The surface of the wood must have a maximum humidity of 16%, and the application must not be carried out if rain is forecast in the following 24 hours. Furthermore, the treated surfaces should not be touched up in the following two years to ensure the best adhesion.
Regarding pre-treatment, it is essential to carefully read the label and instructions before use. Untreated surfaces must be cleaned of dirt, dust and loose material; those already treated with oil require removal of the detached material with a scraper.
During treatment, the oil must be mixed thoroughly before and during application. It is recommended to distribute it with a brush or sponge until it is evenly absorbed by the wood. It is important to eliminate excess oil to avoid unwanted overlaps.
The ideal conditions for application include a dry surface with wood humidity lower than 16%, temperature higher than +5°C and air humidity lower than 80%. After application, the new surface should be handled with care for about a week to achieve maximum hardness and durability.
Maintenance is essential: gentle cleaning two days after application and repeating the treatment when necessary, especially on surfaces exposed to atmospheric agents. The tools used can be easily cleaned with soap and water.
The oil has a slight odor during application which disappears after drying. The yield varies between 5-15 m²/l depending on the conditions of the treated surface. Finally, the product must be stored protected from frost in sealed containers to guarantee its effectiveness over time.
