Walnut Impregnating Oil for Outdoor Wood for Outdoor Wooden Floors. Protect and enhance your outdoor wooden floors with the long-lasting oil that combines nature and technology.
Walnut Exterior Wooden Floor Oil is a highly specialized product, specially designed for the treatment of wood in an autoclave, characterized by a typical green shade. This peculiarity makes it ideal for impregnating woods that are often difficult to treat with other impregnating agents. The oil offers total protection against UV rays, humidity and cracking, ensuring long life and maintaining the natural appearance of the wood.
This product is particularly suitable for use on outdoor wooden floors. It is compatible with all wood species, including pressure-treated wood, heat-treated wood and exotic woods. It can be applied both on new wood and on surfaces previously treated with oil.
The oil is supplied ready to use, which means it does not require dilution. Before application, it is essential to ensure that the wood surface is clean, sound and dry, with a maximum humidity of 16%. Application is not recommended if rain is forecast in the following 24 hours. Furthermore, after the initial oil treatment, the surfaces should not be further treated in the following two years to ensure perfect adhesion of the product.
For best results, mix the oil thoroughly before and during application. It is recommended to distribute the product evenly with a brush or sponge following the grain of the wood and remove any excess. It is important to work along the entire length of the board to avoid overlapping.
The ideal application conditions include a dry surface and wood humidity lower than 16%, with temperatures above +5°C and environmental humidity lower than 80%. After application, handle the treated surface carefully for about a week to ensure maximum hardness and durability.
Maintenance should be performed when necessary, especially for surfaces exposed to atmospheric agents. The tools used can be easily cleaned with soap and water. The oil has a light odor that disappears after complete drying.
The yield varies depending on the condition of the surfaces: for old or worn ones it is 5-7 m²/litre, while for new or good condition surfaces it can reach 7-15 m²/litre. The touch drying time is approximately 4 hours, while complete drying takes place in approximately 7 days.
It is important to store the product away from frost and direct sunlight in sealed containers. Furthermore, caution is recommended when using used cloths as they could constitute a risk of self-ignition; these should be stored in closed metal containers filled with water. Finally, the product is non-flammable and offers a matte finish to the treated wood.
